Jon Symons

JON SYMONS

Jon Symons was born in Yorkshire, England, educated and worked in Aberdeen, Scotland but now lives near Chania, the ancient capital of Crete.   For over thirty years he worked in the oil industry and more specifically in Directional Drilling.  In 2006 he sold his oilfield service company – Toolbox Drilling Solutions Limited – and retired to Crete to continue his passion for writing.   Today, his time is taken up with several other oilfield projects as well as trying to tame an acre plot of Cretan hillside.  His aim is to secure a publishing deal for The Day After Tomorrow which longer term will hopefully allow him to write full time.
